Esperanto is an international language built in 1887 by the Polish doctor Louis Lazare Zamenhof. It is used by people from more than 120 countries, including native ones. Being the official language of no specific state, Esperanto acts as a neutral bridge between cultures.
I learned Esperanto at the age of 9, at a time when the internet was still very rare and personal emails did not yet exist… A language that allowed me to receive many letters from all over the world and to open myself from childhood to the richness of foreign cultures.
