The JCI Youth Lab project lies behind us and we say THANK YOU!
Thanks to you it was possible for us to create a wonderful project with more than 40 children. They worked on sustainability and created idas to make our world a better place.
Here are some facts about the project:
- We have worked with over 40 children from Switzerland, Japan, Belgium, France, USA, Germany and Lithuania.
- The children were most concerned about SDG No. 1 (No Poverty), No. 4 (Quality Education), No. 5 (Gender Equality), No. 8 (Decent Work and Economic Growth), all goals that deal with our environment (No. 11, 12, 13, 14, 15) and No. 17 (Partnerships for the Goals).
- The greatest difficulty mentioned on the first day was the language barrier between the European and the Japanese.
- The greatest joy on the last day was the good cooperation despite the language barrier and the cultural diversity! 😉
- One of the highlights for the youngsters was that they were able to present their project live at the UN in Geneva on Wednesday morning. Which teenager can say that about himself?
We are delighted that we were able to give the kids so many new impressions, emotions and certainly also some new friendships on their way.
